A Keith care home resident has returned to the spot where she met her late husband decades ago. Jane McDonald, 94, met Bill McDonald at the Beach Ballroom in Aberdeen in the late 1940s. Jane’s special visit to Beach Ballroom 75 years onJane is originally from Nairn, but met Bill during one of the Aberdeen venue’s trademark nights where couples and suitors would dance the night away. Recounting her visit, Jane said: “I was thrilled to visit the Ballroom and it brought back precious memories of my time dancing with Bill. “I’d like to thank the wonderful team at the Beach Ballroom for giving Jane such a warm welcome and helping create such a memorable day.
