Former Aberdeen player-coach Scott Brown has revealed he was left so incensed by a challenge from former Dons captain Graeme Shinnie that he texted him from Aberdeenshire the following day asking him to come out of his house and face him. Former Celtic captain Brown singled out Scottish Cup winning skipper Shinnie as a notable foe from his playing career. He also outlined the bizarre moment when he challenged Shinnie to meet him at a golf course in Aberdeenshire. Speaking on the Open Goal podcast, Brown recalled a run-in with Shinnie prior to the midfielder’s departure for Derby County in July 2019. “My golf balls were going everywhere as I was trying to look for his house.”
