Flash flooding has hit parts of Portlethen in Aberdeenshire, with the town’s Asda being closed as a result. It was particularly bad in the Bracken Road area, with there being “no way in or out” due to the floods. In the Bramble Way area of Portlethen, children could be seen wading through the water. Two fire appliances sent to ArgosTwo fire appliances from Altens were sent to Argos at the Portlethen Retail Park due to the flash flooding. A Met Office yellow weather warning for thunderstorms was in place until 9pm on Wednesday night across the north-east.
