Auto-Ordnance, in collaboration with the artisans at Koted Arms, has announced the release of the "Land of the Free" 1911, a striking custom stainless pistol honoring the 250th anniversary of the United States.
Built upon the time-tested Auto-Ordnance Stainless 1911 platform, this commemorative firearm serves as a functional piece of American history, celebrating two and a half centuries of enduring liberty.
The left side of the stainless slide is emblazoned with the words "LAND OF THE FREE" flanking a 250th-anniversary emblem, contrasted by dark custom slide serrations.
The corresponding right grip mirrors the patriotic theme, updating the eagle's banner to display "2026" to complete the 250-year timeline.
In terms of function, the Auto-Ordnance Stainless 1911 is a modernized version of the classic GI pistol, featuring extended controls, beavertail, skeletonized trigger and hammer, frontstrap checkering, slide porting, metal guide rod, and combat day sights.
