Fite and former Carthage standout Kip Lewis were named to the 2026 Bronko Nagurski Trophy Preseason Watch List, the Football Writers Association of America announced from Dallas on Tuesday. Fite is coming off of a season where he had 29 tackles and a career-high 6.5 tackles for loss. Other notables on the watch list are Texas Tech linebacker Ben Roberts, Texas linebacker Rasheem Biles, Texas Tech defensive tackle A.J.
