In mixed media online series Pit Pats, creators/parents Darcy Prendergast and Josie Mackerras reach into the craft box to fuse clay animation, puppetry, live action and hand drawn animation. Much like their like-minded audience, the Pit Pats themselves are curious creatures that are eager to learn and grow, using their small melodic voices to navigate the complexities of the world and find their place in their community’s chorus. Produced by Pit Pats Pty Ltd, the preschool series was developed and produced through Kids IP Incubator, an Australian Children’s Television Foundation (ACTF) and Screen Australia program supporting the development and production of Australian IP for children’s programs on digital platforms. New episodes will be released weekly on the Pit Pats YouTube channel.
