Screenwest and Screen Australia have named Richard Vilensky’s Everyone’s Having a Good Time But You as the recipient of West Coast Visions 2026, with production on the dark comedy due to begin mid next year. Julie Ryan is attached as executive producer alongside Jamie Bialkower of Jump Street Films, which brings support from the Jewish Australian Screen Fund. West Coast Visions provides up to $1 million in production funding, supported by the Western Australian government and Lotterywest, to develop Western Australian filmmakers with distinctive voices for their debut features. The film follows in the footsteps of previous West Coast Visions recipients, Proclivitas, Sweet As, Birthright, Last Train to Freo and How to Please A Woman. “Congratulations to Richard Vilensky, his debut feature Everyone’s Having a Good Time But You is boldly voiced, comedic and uniquely Western Australian.”
