The Importance of Legitimate ProvidersSarah Rivkah KohnFounder & Director, Links FamilyI greatly appreciated the Family First article on psychedelics. However, I felt there was an important point that may not have been clear enough to the reader. The article was correct that most psychedelic-assisted therapies remain illegal or aren’t FDA-approved for routine clinical use in the United States. Another important benefit of receiving treatment through legitimate medical providers is cost. For those paying out of pocket or receiving ketamine rather than Spravato, treatment is certainly not inexpensive, but it’s typically in the range of $600–$1,000 per session, not $4,000–$6,000.
