Georgetown University in Qatar (GU-Q) has announced the opening of its Fall 2027 admissions process on 1 August 2026, marking the first time the university will accept applications through the Common Application (Common App). Georgetown University’s main campus in Washington, DC, will also begin accepting applications through the Common App. Joseph M. Hernandez, Assistant Dean for Admissions and Strategic Enrollment Management, said the introduction of the Common App aims to make the admissions process more accessible while maintaining the university’s existing admissions standards. ‘Introducing the Common App as an additional application pathway expands access to Georgetown University in Qatar without changing what we look for in an applicant. The move is intended to broaden access to Georgetown University in Qatar and simplify the application process for prospective students.
