Scarborough Southwest provincial byelection officially called by Elections Ontario for Sept. 3The provincial byelection for Scarborough Southwest will take place on Thursday, Sept. 3. The writ for the provincial byelection in Scarborough Southwest was dropped by Elections Ontario this morning (Wednesday, Aug. 5). Along with Scarborough Southwest, provincial byelections will also take place in York-Simcoe and Hamilton East-Stoney Creek on Thursday, Sept. 3. Begum won the federal byelection for the Liberals in Scarborough Southwest on April 13.
