Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...LANDRUM—Conserving Carolina and the Landrum Library are hosting a free lecture titled “The Fall Raptor Migration in our South Carolina Mountains,” presented by Ed Moorer of Hawk Watch. The program will be held on Tuesday, August 18, at 6 p.m. at the Landrum Library. Participants will also explore the annual hawk watch at Sassafras Mountain in Pickens County, South Carolina’s highest peak, where dedicated volunteers collect migration data each day for the Hawk Migration Association throughout the three-month season beginning just after Labor Day. This lecture is part of Conserving Carolina and the Landrum Library’s monthly Speaker Series.
