By Carlos ReyesPolice officers took a suspect into custody Tuesday night following a high-speed vehicle chase that wound through the San Fernando Valley before terminating in West Los Angeles. The LAPD pursuit began around 9:30 p.m. in the Valley after officers attempted to stop a driver wanted for making criminal threats and potentially committing assault with a deadly weapon on a peace officer. During the pursuit, the vehicle traveled through Mar Vista, Venice, Rancho Park, Palms, and Cheviot Hills before moving onto surface streets in Century City. The driver eventually pulled over near Westwood, at Santa Monica Boulevard and Veteran Avenue, where officers took him into custody without further incident.
