Introducing Cowboy Candy – a.k.a. According to my research, Cowboy Candy originated in the Southern United States, specifically Texas, during the early 20th century. Though the original recipe uses only jalapeños, I saw no reason why I couldn’t incorporate a variety of peppers, just to see if it would be good. But I knew without being told that what made Cowboy Candy so delicious was how spicy jalapeños are, providing the perfect balance for the sweet syrup they sit in. The main use for Cowboy Candy is as a condiment.
