Minister for Children, Disability, Equality and Kerry TD Norma Foley and Michael Cahill, TD have welcomed confirmation of further funding for community-based counselling and talk therapy supports in Kerry. A total of €1 million in recurring funding was secured in Budget 2026 to expand community-based counselling and psychotherapy services. Minister Foley welcomed the provision of €32,094 in funding for Kerry Adolescent Counselling Service, which is based in Tralee, and €32,094 in funding for Southwest Counselling Centre, which is based in Killarney.
