Petra Molina / Sierra SunINCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. — Washoe County Sheriff’s Office officials say a series of intentional tree poisoning incidents at Burnt Cedar Beach dating back to 2022 appear to be connected, adding new details Tuesday as the investigation continues. Because each incident occurred in the same area of Burnt Cedar Beach and followed a similar pattern, investigators believe the cases are connected. Stumps from trees poisoned in 2024 are still visible at Burnt Cedar Beach. Previous investigations into the 2022 and 2024 incidents did not identify a suspect.
