A 16-year-old boy who confronted McGuinness over the incident in Dunfermline’s Kingsgate shopping centre was assaulted by him. The 42-year-old, of Fod Street, Halbeath, appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court by video-link from prison. He also admitted assaulting a 16-year-old male by attempting to kick him and repeatedly slapped him on the face. Depute fiscal Amy Robertson said the woman involved was 21-years-old and had been attending an event in the shopping centre, assisting her friend who was running a stall. There was a “heated exchange" between them with the youth saying, “I’m only 16 and you’re a 40-year-old man”.
