Published by the UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), the 2025/26 Airport Accessibility Report assesses the quality of support services provided to disabled passengers and those with reduced mobility. The airport maintained its 'good' rating from the previous year, placing it among nine UK airports to achieve this standard, while 19 airports were rated 'very good'. "Some disabled passengers still face difficulties when travelling, and with demand for assistance services continuing to rise, airports must continue to invest in assistance services. The Airport Accessibility Performance Framework, introduced in 2014, sets out clear standards for assisting passengers with disabilities or mobility challenges. Demand for airport assistance services continues to outpace overall passenger growth, with requests rising by 115.8 per cent since 2015, compared to an overall passenger increase of 23.9 per cent.
