Needle & Fern is the brainchild of Gordon Knight and Caroline Yonan-Sangar, Ilkley residents who say that it started life “as an idea born out of our shared love of music and the desire to create an accessible and welcoming place for music to be discovered, shared and celebrated through vinyl”. Gordon and Caroline said: “More than just a shop, we’re hoping to create a community for music lovers, young and old, whether you’ve been collecting for years or you’re just starting your vinyl journey. The shop will have a dedicated listening corner where customers can try out the vinyl on offer and discover their next favourite album. Needle & Fern will be situated in a town centre location and will be opening its doors at a date in late summer, both of which will be confirmed soon. The shop has set up an email newsletter accessible through their website at needleandfern.co.uk for people to keep up to date with how "things are shaping up" as the shop gets closer to opening.
