Addressing the media, Dr. Majumder said the college will soon launch the Dermatology and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PMR) departments, marking a significant expansion of specialised medical services and postgraduate education at the institution. The addition of these departments is expected to enhance patient care, strengthen medical education and broaden the range of specialised healthcare services available at AGMC. The Principal said the expansion reflects the government’s continued focus on improving healthcare infrastructure and increasing opportunities for medical education in Tripura. Providing details on academic growth, Dr. Majumder said AGMC currently offers 97 postgraduate (PG) seats across various disciplines. It also marks another important milestone in AGMC’s ongoing efforts to emerge as a leading centre for medical education, research and patient care in the region.
