Orbit launches £1.6bn housing maintenance and safety procurement

Orbit has launched a procurement programme worth up to £1.6bn to appoint long-term partners for investment, building safety and compliance work across its housing stock in the Midlands, East and South of England.
This work covers planned component replacements, fire safety and structural remediation, major projects and decarbonisation works.
The five lots cover Stratford and the South Midlands, Central and East Midlands, East Anglia, Erith and North Kent, and the South Coast.
Estimated values range from £198.8m for the East Anglia lot to £401.3m for the Central and East Midlands package.
