Elements Europe workers win tribunal award over redundancies

Former workers at Elements Europe have gained a 90-day protective award after an employment tribunal found the collapsed modular specialist failed to consult over mass redundancies.
Employment Judge Maxwell ruled that Elements Europe breached section 188 of the Trade Union and Labour Relations (Consolidation) Act 1992.
Elements Europe manufactured room modules and bathroom pods at Hadley Castle Works in Telford.
Elements Europe had warned production staff in March 2025 that it proposed to reduce its production lines from seven to four, the tribunal found.
The tribunal found that Elements Europe had completely failed to comply with its consultation duties.
