(Image: DepositPhotos)New Zealand’s unemployment rate for the June quarter was worse than economists had anticipated, with underutilisation also worse than expectations in the three-month period, data shows.Statistics NZ’s jobless figures for the three months to June 30 showed the nation’s unemployment rate was 5.6%, from an upwardly revised 5.4% in the March quarter.
At 5.6%, the jobless rate is at its highest since the September quarter in 2015.
