Devon County Council's Public Health team has launched a new online resource to help families prepare for the season, offering practical advice to help young people enjoy festivals and gatherings with confidence while staying safe. Councillor Cheryl Cottle-Hunkin, cabinet member for public health at Devon County Council, said: "Summer festivals, outdoor gatherings and other events can be exciting experiences for young people, helping them build independence and make lasting memories with friends. "We want young people across Devon to have a safe and enjoyable summer, and our new online resource offers helpful guidance to support families as they prepare." It includes links to reputable sources of information and help, ensuring families feel equipped to handle a variety of situations. Designed with popular summer events in mind, the guidance is relevant for festivals such as Boardmasters, Beautiful Days, and Tunes Festivals, as well as any other outdoor gatherings.
