Devon County Council has issued a reminder about the Crisis & Resilience Fund, which supports low-income residents in times of sudden financial hardship.
The fund, which replaced the Household Support Fund in April 2026, is designed to help cover essential costs such as food, energy, water, housing costs, and heating oil for those facing unexpected financial difficulties.
Councillor Cheryl Cottle-Hunkin, cabinet member for rural affairs at Devon County Council, said: "Many people can find themselves facing financial difficulties through no fault of their own.
Those experiencing a financial shock are encouraged to contact their local council to apply for support.
Further information about the Crisis & Resilience Fund is available on the Devon County Council website.
