Dinesfest, a volunteer-led organisation based in Dines Green, has launched a series of Saturday afternoon swimming sessions at Lower Wick Swimming Pool, aimed at giving families a fun and affordable way to stay active during the holidays. Forty people attended the first event, which was funded by a community grant and supported by Worcestershire County Councillor Richard Udall. Kim Price, from Dinesfest, said: "The pool rang with laughter and our volunteers were buzzing from the energy of Saturday afternoon and appreciation in response to the first of this year’s pool parties." "We owe a huge thank you to Councillor Richard Udall for working with us and making this possible." Councillor Udall, who represents St John's, said: "It’s great to work with Dinesfest volunteers and Lower Wick Swimming Pool to arrange these pool parties.
