The girl was found seriously injured just after midnight on Monday at the Elliot industrial estate in Arbroath in Scotland. Detective Inspector Mike Ness, of Police Scotland, said: "Our thoughts remain with those affected by these events. Police at the Elliot Industrial Estate in Arbroath where a nine-year-old girl was found seriously injured and later died after being taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee. The girl is believed to have been camping nearby with her family, who are being supported by specialist officers. It is understood West Yorkshire Police are supporting Police Scotland’s probe.
