In Brighton and Hove, the offer is available on all the city’s bus operators throughout August as part of the government’s Great British Summer Savings scheme, running until August 31. The scheme aims to help families save money and access days out, activities and cultural events over the summer holidays. Councillor Trevor Muten, cabinet member for transport and city infrastructure at Brighton and Hove City Council, said: "I’m delighted that children and young people in Brighton and Hove will be able to travel for free by bus throughout August thanks to this Government funding. The offer extends to all the city’s bus operators, including Brighton and Hove Buses, Compass Travel and Stagecoach. "With free bus travel for five to15 year olds and discounts on kids' meals at restaurants, cinema tickets and theme parks,"
