Dr Kieran Mullan, MP for Bexhill and Battle, made the comments during a visit to Hazel Lodge care home in Battle, part of the Barchester Healthcare group, on Friday, July 10. During his visit, Dr Mullan toured the home, met staff and spoke with residents about their lives, experiences and views on both local and national issues. Dr Mullan said: "It was a pleasure to visit Hazel Lodge and spend time speaking with residents and staff. "I would like to thank everyone at Hazel Lodge for their warm welcome and for the excellent work they do supporting residents every day." Hazel Lodge offers residential and dementia care for 70 residents, including both respite and long-term stays.
