Amy Joyce, from Chichester, is Miss Earth West Sussex and is currently studying veterinary medicine at the Royal Veterinary College. Miss Earth, in particular, perfectly combines my greatest passions – animal welfare, environmental sustainability and community education." As Miss Earth West Sussex, Ms Joyce plans to use her platform to champion animal welfare and raise awareness of the links between animal, human and environmental health. She is vocal about the importance of the 'One Health' concept, which recognises the interconnectedness of human, animal and environmental health. "But animal health is just as important – not only for the animals themselves, but for our environment and our own wellbeing."
