Chichester District Council issued an enforcement notice in July 2025, three years after the car park appeared at the Littlemeads Business Park, in Tangmere. The notice said there were no special circumstances to justify the car park staying in place. A council spokesman said: “We welcome the Planning Inspectorate’s decision to dismiss the appeal against an enforcement notice relating to the unauthorised use of land at Littlemead Business Centre, Tangmere. “This decision demonstrates why planning enforcement is so important. “We welcome the Inspector’s decision to uphold the enforcement notice and will continue to work to ensure that planning regulations are respected across the district.”
