The Rose Restaurant, on Marine Parade by the seafront in Southend, has been placed on the market for £650,000.
The building is a three-storey plot, with ground floor seating, a commercial kitchen and owner accommodation, among other features.
A cornerstone of the famous stretch of road, The Rose Restaurant has been owned by the same family for "many, many years".
Commercial consultant Gerard Biagioni, from seller Dedman Gray, said the sellers are seeking offers in the region of £650,000 for The Rose Restaurant.
Mr Biagioni added that Dedman Gray received their first offer on Monday and that he expects others to follow.
