News – NBC Los Angeles
The meeting comes after residents near the warehouse that caught fire June 17 have reported strong odors and health concerns in their neighborhoods east of downtown Los Angeles.
Lineage Logistics said it has worked to reduce odors as crews continue hauling truckloads of waste.
The company announced Monday approximately 80% of the food waste has been removed from the warehouse and has set a goal of completing bulk food waste removal from the site next week.
Los Angeles County Department of Public Health investigators reviewed the warehouse on July 15.
Public health officials said they were monitoring corrective actions and conducting regular inspections to verify compliance.
