Astronomers may have found something they have searched for decades: a mysterious moon beyond our Solar System. A Jupiter-mass object appears to be orbiting a brown dwarf in the CD-35 2722 system, potentially becoming the first confirmed exosatellite discovered beyond the Solar System. The CD-35 2722 system is located around a star with roughly half the mass of the Sun. A brown dwarf orbits this star, and the newly identified object appears to orbit the brown dwarf. The wobble of the brown dwarf in the CD-35 2722 system reveals the possible presence of a Jupiter-mass exosatellite.
