The event brought together children, families, carers and professionals from across Somerset for an afternoon of celebration, recognising the determination and progress of young people in care. Cllr Heather Shearer, Somerset Council’s lead member for children, families and education, said: "This event is one of the highlights of the year. "It is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the achievements, talents and resilience of Somerset's children looked after and care-experienced young people. It was also made more inclusive, allowing more families, carers and supporters to join the celebrations. The event also honoured adults—teachers, carers and workers—who were nominated by young people for their positive impact.
