The fire occurred in a field in Crudwell, with firefighters from Malmesbury Fire Station called out from training to tackle it around 7.30pm on Monday (August 3). “Last night’s safe working at height training was interrupted as we were mobilised to a small fire in the open,” said a spokesperson for Malmesbury Fire Station, located in Gloucester Road in Malmesbury. “The crews dampened down remaining hotspots before returning to the station.” On Friday, July 24, crews from Malmesbury were mobilised three times. A Malmesbury crew were also mobilised to a motorbike fire in Hullavington on Tuesday, July 21.
