The BUF in Prestwick shut for the final time on Sunday, August 2, having opened in March 2019 and grown into one of the area's most popular venues. The bar was well known for its large, award-winning beer garden, which became a favourite spot for locals during the summer months. Owner Karen Finnie confirmed the closure in a heartfelt message to customers, saying the decision had not been easy. Ms Finnie said: "A special thank you goes to our incredible team, past and present, and a special mention to Chris Cole who has managed our venues for over 10 years. She closed her message with thanks to everyone who had been part of the pub's journey, adding: "Thank you for being part of our 'Buf' story.
