Dr. George Wayne Hutchinson Sr. passed away peacefully at his home in Lake Charles, La., surrounded by his family, on Aug. 2, 2026, at the age of 83. Answering both a calling to medicine and a commitment to public service, George served as a Major in the United States Army from 1969 to 1974. For the next 33 years, George practiced Internal Medicine in Lake Charles, earning the trust and affection of generations of patients.
