The event is said to date back as far as 1730, and has been a constant in the village since 1910 outside of the Covid years. And this year will draw huge crowds back to the area once again, with fun for all ages taking place between Friday, August 7 and Sunday, August 16. Events will once again include pipe band performances, the crowning of the queen, installation of the principals, ride-outs all week, bonfire and fireworks, and loads more. The main day of events takes place on Saturday, August 15, which will include pageant assemblies, crowning of the 2026 Queen, an afternoon of fun at Queensberry Square and a family music night.
