A Columbus man is under arrest after leading police on a 30-minute chase through the city on Monday. When officers tried to talk to him, they say he became agitated, began calling them fake police officers and admitted he did not have a license. As the chase continued, Indiana State Police, Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Department and Edinburgh officers arrived to provide assistance. Police say that the man drove erratically, going the wrong way down one-way streets and stopping occasionally to yell at people. Officers used tire deflation devices that flattened a front tire, but he continued to drive away, the wheel eventually coming off the vehicle.
