Diane Leeson’s charges of careless driving causing death and driving a vehicle with cannabis readily available were addressed in provincial offences court in Azilda. The little girl died after being struck by a vehicle after getting off a school bus about 3:30 p.m. May 19 near 129 Second Ave. Greater Sudbury Police, in a release issued at the time, said the tragedy did not happen on the road. “The child had safely exited a school bus prior to the incident, which occurred on private property within a residential parking area,” said police. “There is currently no indication the school bus was directly involved in the incident.”
