The Government of The Gambia joined Morocco on Thursday, 30 July 2026, to celebrate the 27th Anniversary of the accession of His Majesty King Mohammed VI to the Throne of the Kingdom of Morocco. The reception was held at the Coco Ocean Resort & Spa Hotel, Bijilo and organized by the Moroccan Embassy in Banjul. He described relations between Morocco and The Gambia as “one of the strongest partnerships in our African diplomacy.” He assured that Morocco remains a strategic and reliable partner to The Gambia and is determined to further strengthen cooperation through more ministerial visits and new agreements. “Morocco remains one of Gambia’s closest and most esteemed partners,” he said.
