The hub, situated at Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council’s Campus East offices, aimed to provide easier access to in-person support from the police. At the time, Pete Frost, chief inspector at Welwyn Hatfield, said: "We are pleased to announce the opening of our police information hub at the council office. "We work very closely with Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council and sharing office space will no doubt help us to solve issues together faster and give you the support and help you need.
