The blaze broke out off Titchfield Lane in Wickham yesterday. The tractor and hay bales were completely destroyed in the fire, while the barn suffered around 50 per cent damage. The scale of the incident prompted a large-scale response, with crews working to bring the fire under control and prevent it from spreading. Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service said crews used two high-pressure hose reels, two jets and hand tools to bring the blaze under control. The fire service said the incident had been handed back to the farmer.
