Man denies throwing brick at police during Henry Nowak unrest

Mark Gray, 25, of Mansbridge Road, Southampton, is accused of taking part in violent disorder in Southampton on June 2, following a protest over the murder of student Henry Nowak.
At the hearing at Southampton Crown Court on Tuesday, Gray spoke only to enter his plea of not guilty to the charge.
The charge relates to disorder which followed a protest over the murder of 18-year-old student Henry Nowak by Vickrum Digwa in Southampton.
Around 1,000 people gathered in Southampton to protest, and as the evening progressed, violence broke out in Portswood, with bottles and other objects thrown at officers.
A total of 12 officers were injured while two police vehicles and at least two cars belonging to residents were damaged.
