GKIDS is releasing Godzilla Minus Zero in the US way sooner than expected, and diehard fans can watch the film ahead of the pack. The premise of Godzilla Minus One was straightforward enough — the kaiju rises out of the ocean and wreaks havoc on the mainland. Godzilla Minus Zero picks up two years after the events of Godzilla Minus One, which ended with the kaiju seemingly destroyed. When previous Godzilla films treated civilians as collateral damage, Godzilla Minus Zero flips the script and tells the story from a family's perspective. Godzilla Minus Zero is more ambitious than the original, which already blew all expectations with its $10 million budget.
