MIRACLE Okafor’s penalty ensured Alvechurch ended their pre-season campaign with a 2-1 win against Birmingham City under-21s. Okafor scored from the spot on 58 minutes at Lye Meadow to put the home side back in front. Church led through Harry Reilly’s strike on 14 minutes only for Blues to equalise two minutes before half time. However, Okafor sent the goalkeeper the wrong way from the spot just before the hour mark to ensure Church ended their pre-season campaign with a victory. Alvechurch travel to Kettering Town on Saturday, August 8 with kick-off at 3pm at Latimer Park in the club’s first league game of the season.
