— Right-hander Joe Ryan again failed to find his mojo against the Kansas City Royals, and Minnesota Twins old friend Randy Dobnak treated his former team with little leniency. Ryan showed diminished velocity with his four-seam fastball Tuesday night, getting subpar results for the third straight start in an 8-2 loss to the Royals at Kauffman Stadium. With the Royals out of the race, Dobnak pitched effectively for the second straight start against his old team. In his previous turn at Target Field last week, Dobnak blanked the Twins over seven innings. Dobnak, who pitched for the Twins organization from 2020-2025, lowered his ERA to 1.16 in six major league appearances this season.
