The RNLI all-weather lifeboat from Tenby launched at 5.15pm on Tuesday, August 4, after a member of the public reported seeing two people in difficulty around a mile off Wiseman’s Bridge. The "casualties" were checked over to make sure they didn't need medical assistance, then requested a lift back to Swallow Tree. The rescue operation gets underway (Image: Tenby Lifeboats RNLI)They confirmed they had left there earlier in the afternoon, but were blown towards Wiseman's Bridge by the strong offshore breeze, and they were unable to return. The pair were returned to shore at Swallow Tree along with their boards, and the lifeboat returned to the station at 6.10pm. Swallow Tree is about 2.6 miles from Wisemans Bridge, which is approximately an 11 minutes drive or a 46 minutes walk.
