With this, MCC becomes the second Civic Body after Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) to take action against unruly vehicle owners. Greater Bengaluru Development Minister Krishna Byre Gowda himself led the action in the State Capital against abandoned vehicles by putting wheel lock to the vehicles parked in public places. The vehicles parked on road sides are proving inconvenient to smooth flow of traffic, not to ignore the possibilities of accident. The registered vehicle owners themselves will be held accountable for the action taken by MCC, expenses and legal implications. Hence, the vehicle owners should consider it seriously and voluntarily remove the vehicles by Aug. 15 deadline, added MCC Commissioner Savitha.
