The Botswana Police Service (BPS) has warned the public against accepting suspicious overseas job offers after 22 citizens were reported missing following trips abroad for employment opportunities. In a media statement issued on Tuesday, police said the missing individuals allegedly travelled overseas after being promised lucrative jobs. Police revealed that, in addition to the 22 reported missing, eight other people were intercepted before reaching their intended destinations. The reported cases involve people aged between 19 and 48 years, highlighting what police described as a growing vulnerability among job seekers to fraudulent overseas recruitment schemes.
